This is a page about our studio process. MiJa is a fashion brand and extreme recycling medium founded by Prague based designer, Mia Jadrna. MiJA is always in search of ways to treat textile waste. Using various techniques, it refits, reshapes, and repurposes ignored, unwanted and otherwise abandoned materials giving them a new lease of life. The brand was born out of an obsession to use everything and waste nothing. Under the overwhelming strain of too much & too fast, it builds a statement that there is no need to buy new materials to create new things. What's that? You better save it – we might use it later (: Postcompost Trauma couture grew out of the urgent need to stop wasting and start caring.

Many pieces from MiJA collections are made from the smallest thrown-away textile off-cuts from befriended fashion studios around Prague. We keep in touch with them and hunt for our textile treasures in their bins because all fabrics are beautiful. Each piece is 1/1, with no chance of being repeated, handmade for crafty souls by Mia Jadrna since 2018.
